Be Unique by Fliss Goodwin

Hi there, I have an art panel to share this week with sadly no step by step photos as it was one of those creations that just went with the flow. It involved lots of layers so I’ve used those to explain how it came about a little like a recipe for a layer cake. Hope you find mine tasty although it’s calorie free!

Ingredients:

Crafters Companion Textures Elements Stamp Sets – Words to Inspire 1, Splats & Accessories Set 2
PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Acrylics – Blush, Pumpkin Soup, Lavender, Haystack, Tango
Lid or Circle Stamp to make the circle pattern
Old Credit Card

Recipe:

Layer 1this is simply white gesso scraped over the MDF panel roughly with an old credit card.

Layer 2 apply blobs of the pink, orange and yellow paints to your craft mat then use the credit card to scrap the colours over the panel. You’ll find they mix up a bit but this adds to the effect.

Layer 3use the credit card to scrap some lavender paint over the corners and edges. If you wipe the credit card over the inner section of the panel, you’ll get some interesting lines appearing.

Layer 4 – using the long border from the splats stamp set, stamp the image round the edges with the grey ink, adding extra on the corners until you’re happy with the effect.

Layer 5 this one uses the tango paint with that lovely bubbly stencil to add some deeper orange bubbles randomly on the panel.

Layer 6 stamp the heart image in the bottom left corner and the swallow on the right side just above the centre.

Layer 7 – stamp the text on the panel with the grey ink and add some circles with a lid or circle stamp. Add a little more stamping with the border image to finish.

Have a great weekend and see you next week.
